Is Amazon now promoting smoking to children?
As most of you know, Amazon.com has been having one heck of a sale on their Toys over the past week with some of them going for over 75% off. However while browsing the toy department for possible gifts I came across a "toy" labeled CIGARETTE DISPENSING DONKEY. I sat there for a while to make sure that I was browing the right category, and then clicked on the item and sure enough ... there was a supposed "toy" cigarette holder in the shape of a donkey!

Now I don't have anything wrong with the item ... actually I enjoy the description of "Holding 24 regular sized cigarettes (give or take), this talented pack animal can carry around your smokes and dole them out in a way that will make you wonder of that's something you really want to put in your mouth." Almost sounds like a possible Bill Clinton/Monica joke ... but that's a different subject.

But seriously, couldn't Amazon find a different category to put this product in? I understand Amazon could argue that toys aren't just for kids and this item would be very entertaining to adults. However if that is the case, why did they place the Mistress Dildo in Health & Personal Care? I'd think many ... umm ... users would consider this item more of a toy than a health aide.

Samsung to release blogger-friendly mobile phone
Samsung has decided to jump on the YouTube-friendly handset bandwagon and has announced the release of their SGH-760 mobile phone, designed with the mobile blogger in mind.

The L760 will feature a 2 Megapixel Camera, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Reader and an FM Radio with Radio Data System (RDS) as well as what Samsung is touting as a 'one-click' mobile blog updating feature ...

Furthermore, customers will be able to maintain their blogs, without accessing a PC using the L760. Samsung’s L760 allows users to update content and photos to their blogs anywhere with just ‘one-click’, by uploading contents as in the form of title + description + tag. This helps users keep their blogs up-to-date, especially while traveling.

The L760 will be available in major European countries beginning late July and will be expanded into Asian countries and a later date.

Rockstar Games bringing Table Tennis to the Wii

Rockstar Games bringing Table Tennis to the Wii
A warning to all those suffering from Wii Tennis Elbow, Rockstar Games is releasing its popular Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis on the Nintendo Wii this September. Better get some ice on those elbows to be ready for this one!

Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis was first released on the scene back in May 2006 for the XBOX 360 and even since, according to Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games, gamers have been begging to get this bad boy on the Wii ...

"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version ... By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote™, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."

Its hard to tell how the gameplay will be since the official trailer on their website just shows a computer versus computer simulation (like most game trailers). I was hoping they could do a Wii Fit type trailer showing someone really playing the game so that I could get a better feel for it.

On any note, according to the website gamers will be able to choose from 11 unique characters to compete an assortment of gameplay modes that span across 19 different venues including stadium style areans. The only feature I see lacking (which I've been complaining about since Wii Sports) is the ability to play the game over the Internet with your friends. However even with it lacking the Internet play, I can't wait for the September release date so I can put my Table Tennis skills on display.

Sony launching new boombox and clock radio with iPod docks

Sony launching new boombox and clock radio with iPod docks
The new ICF-C1iP clock radio allows you (but is not required) to hook-up your iPod to one of its standard iPod adaptors and jam out to your tunes when you wake up in the morning. What's even better is that it comes with a wireless remote control that can control the clock radio AND gives you full access to your iPod's menu system. And on top of that, the IFC-C1iP charges your iPod when its docked.

The boombox (ZS-S2iP) has almost all the same features as the clock radio but also has an integrated CD player that supports CD-R/RW playback and incorporates Sony's Mega Bass Sound system.

Both the clock radio and boombox will be priced right around $100.00 and will be available for purchase in August.
