Guns N' Roses Vet and Velvet Revolver Frontman Slash to Appear in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Guitar Hero fanatics we have some good news for you ... Activision has revealed that none other than Guns N' Roses Vet and Velvet Revolver Frontman Slash will be appearing as a boss battle character in the upcoming Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

"Guitar legend Slash, combined with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock's robust soundtrack and innovative new game features, will continue to solidify the brand's leadership in the rhythm-action genre," said Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of Activision Publishing.

The star-studded soundtrack will also include master tracks by such legendary artists as Guns N' Roses, The Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys, Muse and Pearl Jam, with added songs as made legendary by Kiss, Alice Cooper and Heart.

So far no release date has been set, but has stated that the game is planned for release in the fiscal year of 2008, which stretches from March 2007 to March 2008.

Rockstar Games bringing Table Tennis to the Wii

Rockstar Games bringing Table Tennis to the Wii
A warning to all those suffering from Wii Tennis Elbow, Rockstar Games is releasing its popular Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis on the Nintendo Wii this September. Better get some ice on those elbows to be ready for this one!

Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis was first released on the scene back in May 2006 for the XBOX 360 and even since, according to Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games, gamers have been begging to get this bad boy on the Wii ...

"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version ... By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote™, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."

Its hard to tell how the gameplay will be since the official trailer on their website just shows a computer versus computer simulation (like most game trailers). I was hoping they could do a Wii Fit type trailer showing someone really playing the game so that I could get a better feel for it.

On any note, according to the website gamers will be able to choose from 11 unique characters to compete an assortment of gameplay modes that span across 19 different venues including stadium style areans. The only feature I see lacking (which I've been complaining about since Wii Sports) is the ability to play the game over the Internet with your friends. However even with it lacking the Internet play, I can't wait for the September release date so I can put my Table Tennis skills on display.
