XM releases new Universal In-Car XM Receiver
The CommanderNT, XM's latest radio receiver, is designed to integrate into any vehicle's dash and work with any automobile's AM/FM stereo, no matter the make, brand, or year. The CommanderMT features a four-line display and a tuning knob for channel selection.

The CommanderMT works with the portable XM Mini-Tuner, a compact removable cartridge containing the XM subscription that can be used to access XM Radio programming through other compatible car and home products.

The one aspect of the receiver that isn't mentioned is how it handles heat. Currently I'm using an XM Roady II and after maybe 30 minutes of usage, the unit is so hot that it can actually burn your skin. Hopefully XM and Audiovox worked on this issue with the CommanderMT, otherwise you'll have some very unhappy XM customers.

Anyways, look for the CommanderMT to hit the stores sometime later this month with a pricetag of around $179.99.
